Hunter's Country House - World's Ultimate Travels

This intimate property is located within the Garden Route, 10 km from Plettenberg Bay and 24 km from Knysna. It offers elegant, thatched-roofed suites and non-thatched rooms and free WiFi is available throughout. Each individually decorated, air-conditioned suite and room at Hunter's Country House features tea/coffee facilities, a minibar and certain suites feature a fireplace. Some also have their own private terrace with a pool and garden. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine around the outdoor boma with couches and a fireplace. Breakfast is served in the conservatory, while light lunches and dinners are available by reservation in the dining room or outdoors on the lawn. A large, outdoor swimming pool is on site, along with a childrens play area. Hunter's Country House also has a shared library with a fireplace. Area activities include golfing, horse riding, boat trips, nature walks and swimming with seals. The Tenikwa Wild Cat Sanctuary, Monkeyland and Birds of Eden are all within 30 minutes’ drive.

Terrace Room

These 5 rooms leading onto outdoor patio seating areas are intimate and cosy, perfect for the single traveller and modest explorer alike. A choice between our 2 thatched and 3 non-thatched rooms, each with en-suite bathroom with shower only, are situated in close proximity to the main building and just a short stroll from the tented boma and main pool area.

Orchard Suite

The 4 non-thatched cosy Orchard Suites, privately appointed to the main pool complex. Decorated with interiors that meld past and present using contemporary textural fabrics in a calming palette offset by polished antique pieces.

Garden Suite

The twelve individual classic and cosy thatched roofed Garden Suites are each privately positioned along the winding paths of the fragrant country gardens. These suites are plush and peaceful, tastefully decorated in a restful palette, accented with romantic touches. A privately positioned patio and garden makes for tranquil relaxation, reflection and reconnecting.

Pool Suite

These two suites each have a large and luxurious bedroom which leads onto a separate dressing room area and large en-suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower, and an additional outdoor shower.

The two-bedroomed Family Pool Suite with separate en-suite bathrooms ensure you have everything you need, and more, for the perfect family escape.

Family Suite

Ideal family time in one of the 3 Family Suites all within close proximity of the each other. Fabrics are rich and luxurious, with both bedrooms having en-suite bathrooms. The privately appointed patios make for excellent bird and butterfly spotting opportunities in our luscious gardens.
