Experience the award-winning Croatian Destination: Bol

Located on the beautiful southern coast of Brac Island, Croatia, Bol is a delightful small town nestled at the base of Vidova Gora, the highest peak of the Adriatic islands. This charming seaside resort has become one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Croatia, attracting visitors from all over the world. Despite its popularity, Bol still manages to maintain the small village feel, home to just 1,000 residents. Once a fishing village, Bol has transformed into an idyllic vacation spot that shouldn't be missed.

Its popularity is due to its most beautiful Mediterranean beach - Zlatni Rat, also known as the Golden Horn. This promontory is mostly composed of pebble rock that changes with the tidal movement. Zlatni Rat Beach is the most famous Croatian beach and is featured in many tourist brochures. Its unique shape stretches over 500 meters into the sea and was created about a million years ago on a submarine reef that stops banks of pebbles, sand, and clay carried by waves and currents.

The Golden Horn is undoubtedly one of the most famous attractions in Bol, but the town has much more to offer. Bol is the oldest settlement on the island of Brac, and visitors can explore the town's rich history by visiting attractions such as the Dominican Monastery, the baroque summer palace Loza, and the church by the harbor.

Bol has a fabulous tourist offer with excellent restaurants, cute cafes, wine bars, good shopping, and a variety of fantastic accommodations. Traditional Dalmatian cuisine is also on the menu, which makes up part of Mediterranean cuisine. Dalmatian dishes are rich with herbs like rosemary, sage, oregano, thyme, and basil and feature extra virgin olive oil and garlic. Brac is famous for its olive oil, wine, and herbs cultivation, making it the perfect place to try out some of the local specialties.

Visitors can also enjoy a wide range of activities during their stay in Bol. Sports enthusiasts will find a lot to do, from windsurfing, kayaking, stand-up paddling, scuba diving, and pedal boating to hiking, tennis, cycling, and mountain biking.

Bol offers a range of exciting experiences for visitors. From its picturesque old town and pretty harbor to its breathtaking natural bays and fantastic day trip opportunities, there is something for everyone here.
